And a s final addendum, the one documentation that I had that my Guy Smith descended from Rev Guy Smith, was DAR application by Mary Daniell Bagnell (DAR Member # 105267, Add 374) approved 1 Sep 1950 that lists parents of Guy Smith, Sr (III) as the child of Rev. Guy Smith, bp 12 Dec 1704 at Gloucester Co., Va. d at Gloucester Co., Va. buried on 28 Jan 1738 and his wife Sarah. The Rev Guy Smith was the child of Rev Guy Smith d at Gloucester Co, Va. on ca 1720.
