Hello all and thank you for this forum.
I am Joey Smith from Daviess County, Ky. My line of Smiths came from Louisville, Ky after immigrating from Prussia (Germany) where they were Schmidts. My earliest known ancestor was Nicholas Schmidt who came over with his wife Mary & children Margaret, Dora, George, & William. I am a decendant of George.
I am fairley certain Nicholas & Mary had other children who may or may not have immigrated. I also have a feel some of Nicholas' sigbling may have immigrated as well. I am always looking for more information and have had a YDNA Y-111 test and have sent in my famiy tree as well. Always welcome input and inquiries.

P.S. Came back from vacay and found that where were a raft of bots invading this site, slowing it down and, for at least one of them, I see no valid reason for them to be crawling the site. Therefore....read more.....
