Barry F Smith is also I-FT274207 and his paternal ancester was Robert Smith 1765 PA - 1851 TN. I have noticed that another member - James Robert Smith, has his paternal ancester as John Smith D:1795 at Knox Co. TN. also... Reg Smith, another member, has his paternal ancestor as Henry Smith b.c (born circa) 1768 at Knox Co. TN. The wife's of both Henry Smith and Robert Smith are named 'Fraker' ... Using multiple listings on Ancestry and My Heritage site I have found the following :- Henry Smith was married to Rebecca Fraker who died 1809 in Knox Co. TN... and Robert Smith was married to Mary Fraker who died 1834 in Knox Co. TN.... The Smith Tree I have created also shows that Henry and Robert Smith are brothers and that their Fraker wives are sisters... Also the John Smith who died in Roane now part of Knox Co..TN in 1795 was the father of both Henry and Robert. John left a Will listing Henry and Robert as his sons... The information is out there... |

CommentID 615 Hi, Derek. I have been trying to reply for a couple of months, but was locked out of the site (glitchy, sometimes). My paper trail shows Henry, brother of Robert as my 3rd great-grandfather. He is also mentioned as Rebecca Fraker's husband in her father's will. I did my Y-37 two years ago, and am awaiting results of my Big-Y, which I fully expect to match yours and Cousin Barry's, but it would be interesting if it's any different. I wasn't able to find your tree here -- what is your own paternal line? Paul Smith |
