to consider doing a YDNA test (ie you are a male, your last name is Smith and you can directly trace your line to Alexander Smith. the Smith DNA Project currently has an autosomal tester for this branch, believed to be from Benjamin Smith of Clay Co KY, would like to confirm it.

Also, if you have done autosomal DNA and you are from thie line, please come join the project.

Being a bit more specific. To join the Smith DNA Project on FamilyTreeDNA, go login to FamilyTreeDNA with the credentials you have for FTDNA, then do a JOIN PROJECT and find the Smith DNA Project-Off....read more.....
