Anthony Wayne Smith b 22 Apr 1828 OH was married twice. First wife was Margaret Hastings, daughter of Alexander Hastings and Margaret Slone. These Smiths were in La Porte County, Indiana, Pottawatamie County, Iowa. Margatet Smith is found on the 1880 Pottawatomie Couny Indiana census as Widowed. Her previous husband was Hampton B Whitehead. Anthony W Smith is then found in 1880 Beaver County Utah with second wife Jane E Brough. He died in Beaver County, Utah. Assuming this is the same Anthony W Smith

We have had a few DNA testers who descend through children of both families. They do not match on YDNA, even though both have a male to male to male Smith line. One is a direct male Smith through Margaret Hastings as wife, the other a direct line Smith son through 2nd wife Jane Eliizabeth Brough. There is an additional autosomal tester who matches an autosomal test for Smith/Brough and another that looks to be a match on both YDNA and autosomal and has been asked to join the project.
Would like to test descendants of Alexander Hastings Smith b 1855 and Arthur Joseph smith no the Margaet Hastings Smith side and Albert Wayne Smith, Alvin Edward Smith and Schuyler Silas Smith on the Jane Brough/Smith side.
