There is an autosomal tester as well for this line, would like a male Smith descendant who can trace his line back to do a YDNA test.

Also, could Joseph be the son of James Smith and Ruth Pigot of Crawford Co , PA.
A lot of "lore" shows Joseph Smith to be the father of James Smith (8-3-1750 - 1-6-1836 Blooming Valley, Crawford Co, PA) / Ruth Pigot (1759 - 2-12-1819 (Blooming Valley, Crawford Co, PA)
but I have not been able to confirm this.
