Autosomal, YDNA, and Big-Y
This line went from CT where James Smith married Annis Newton, daughter of Samuel Newton and Deborah Williams, in 1752 in Groton, New London CT. James son Isaac is in James will, and went from New London CT to Brooklyn, Susquehanna Co PA, married Sally Ethridge. Isaac's son David G is mentioned in Isaac's will and went tfrom CT, through Brooklyn, Susquehanna Co PA to Sterling, Whiteside County, Illinois, married Lucretia Emmons. Through his son Eseck Palmer Smith, who appears to have named after Eseck Palmer of CT, son of Elijah Palmer, who married James daughter Amy is the line we are wanting also to get YDNA and other DNA testers for.
So, if youi are a male Smith who has a straight Smith male line down from James Smith, please consider getting a YDNA test and joining this project. If you have done autosomal DNA for this line, same. And, most particularly, if you came down through Esach Palmer Smiths' line, would especially like to compare your line.
