My research tells me he was in command of a regement during the Revolutionary War. But I have ran across an article which states that there were two Alexander Lawson Smiths at that time and both were in the war. They were also born and died about the same time. Can anyone shed some light on this. Alexander is my Patriot for a SAR submission. |

CommentID 482 Do not know which two these might be. If you would send your doc in to info@smithsworldwide.org will take a look. Were both of them supposed to be from Prince William Virginia?

CommentID 486 I believe I have sorted this out. A application for membership was filed and accepted contining the wrong information. Have continued to use it. The SAR was notified some time ago. But incorrect information is still being made available.
