      Andrew "Andy" E. Ballentine --I enlisted in Co R. Reg 1st SC Battalion of Infantry under Captain Press Smith on April 1862 and served in that command until the 27 April 1865. I was discharged at Greensboro NC 27 April 1865 and was at that time a member of Co E Reg 1st SC Inft. My income and my wife's from all sources is not in excess of $100.00. The valuation of all my property does no exceed $2000.00. I was born 27 May 1839 and reside at Easley in Pickens Co SC. Sg: Andrew E. Ballentine 20 Oct 1919.
