      If anyone knows what the initials of H.C. stands for please let me know. In my 50 years of research, I have never seen his complete name written out. LSC

      About one quarter mile east on country road in Easley SC was the home of O.H.C. Smith where now is located the Nations Bank then Bank of America and now a Medical Office--His home was similar to that of Govan Smiths made out of logs. (This was the land he inherited from his father James S. Smith). This land is now the main Street of the Town of Easley SC.

      Elsie E. Smith and O.H.C. Smith sold 22 acres of land in Easley SC, County of Pickens to Joel Ellison--Said Elsie E. Smith as her dower in the estate of the late James Smith situate in Town of Easley. Mariana F. Smith w/o O.H.C. Smith released dower 17 Aug 1879. Pickens Co SC Deed Bk D-2 pg 416-417

      Elsie E. Smith and O.H.C. Smith sold 22 acres of land in Easley SC, County of Pickens to Joel Ellison--Said Elsie E.       Deed to Mariana from Allen Mauldin 14 March 1874 Pickens Co SC in Pickensville-Easley. Issue: Cona Smith b. 1857

      O.H.C. Smith moved to Banks Co., GA about 1890 and was Corner there in 1915, no later records found of O.H.C. Smith in GA.

      Dissolution of Co partnership existing between O.H.C. Smith and Co as cigar manufactures is dissolved. Con't by Mr H. Pechner.

      O.H.C. Smith is visiting from Banks Co GA. His wife died last november. Mr Smith draws a pension of $50.00 a year for wounds he received in Confederate Service.

      O.H.C. Smith moved to Banks Co GA about 1890 and was Corner there in 1915. No later records fround for O.H.C. Smith in GA. In 1915 he would have been 85 years of age.
