    • James was in Caswell NC. The Smith's were in Edgecombe. James served in the Rev war. His wife was Mary Anglin. Millington Smith married Barbara. His brother married Polly (Mary Ann) McIntosh. Her mother was Nancy Anglin sister of Mary. Both William McIntosh and James Barton were named on the will of William Anglin 1803 Caswell. Barabara did not died in Stewart Tn. In 1830 Millington was in Union Illinois. He died there years later. Barbara was not listed in his will. Polly also died quite young. The Smith story is that the mother left NC with her two sons. Their father was Willis. Both were chain carriers for William McIntosh. James Barton will in Logan Ky 1804. Listing most of his children. Because he died 1804 might be a reason why he was not listed in the will of his supposed father. A land transaction involving William's brother Thomas McIntosh and James Barton in Caswell said Isle of Wright.
