    follows - Say - the Land where I now live
    My beloved Wife Dianna to live on it as long
    as ~ She lives & horses Cows & hogs & stock
    of all to Remain with her for her suppor
    & the Childred that is now with us unmaried
    & At her Death the said land & Stock on hand
    to be Sold & Equally Devided between all my
    Children, But my Negroes to be Devided
    as follows - Say my Son Leonard to have
    as his Right & property a Negroe boy by the
    Name of Adam, & also a Colt by the name
    of Stare, also a Sadde that now is in his posesion
    I futher Desire, that my son Robert Should have
    a Negroe girl of mine by his paying to my
    Estate three Hundred Dollars, - then the negroe
    girl Easter to be his Right & property & to have
    the bed that is now Claimd by him, in my hous
    with its firnature, / my Desire further my
    Daughters ~ Elizabeth & Charlottee to have Each of
    them a bed & firnature, now in there posession
    to have as there own property - Also the Negroe Woman
    Eady & her inCrease herafter at the Death of my
    Bloved Wife to be Equally Devided, - also I wish
    my son James to have a Bed - I wish my son Robert James
    & Robert & Leonard [see below] to live on the land & work to=

    • Buckner Smith No.II. I have only seen his name as Buckner. b. 1760 a few years younger than the other one and I think perhaps cousins? d. 1818 Giles Co, TN Left will m. 1st 25 Feb 1786 Orange Co., TN Margaret Payne

      This Buckner Smith is the one that said he knew Archibald McMahan in Greenville SC when Archibald and wife moved to Greenville SC in 1792 and he had married Ann Payne and had been married for about 1 year. Ann Payne was a sister to Margaret Payne.

      Buckner Smith b. 1760 m. 2nd Dianah Grant d/o Capt William Grant b. 1725 Fauquier Co VA d. 1813 Pendleton District SC not 1804 KY as said by DAR. He m. Elizabeth Boone b. Jan 1728 Isle of Wight Co VA d. 1814 Pendleton District SC.
      NOTE?this Capt William Grant had a brother Daniel Grant b. 1750 Fauquier Co VA and d. Pendleton District SC m. Jane Smith a sister to the Buckner Smith b. 1758. They lived near Buckner Smith b. 1758 in Pendleton District, SC.

      10 Aug 1791 James Blasingame Esq of Greenville Co to Nehemiah Payne of same for L10 sterling sold 100 acres borders David McKinzey, Thomas Jones, Sheilds Booker and John Jones. Sg: J. Blassingame. wit: Blackman Ligon, Buckner Smith and Joseph Wood rec. 25 May 1793.
